Shortcut Biscuits

 

 

1/4          Cup               Shortening

2             Cups             Self Rising Flour

3/4          Cup               Milk

 

1.  Preheat oven to 450°F.

2.  Cut shortening into flour with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs. 

3.  Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves side of bowl and rounds up into a ball. 

4.  Turn dough onto ungreased cookie sheet. 

5.  Pat dough into 6-inch square with floured hands. 

6.  Cut into 2-inch squares, cutting completely through dough.

7.  Bake until golden brown, 15 - 20 minutes.
